All Stars Project, Inc.

The All Stars Project is a 33-year old national nonprofit which transforms the lives of youth and poor communities using the developmental power of performance in partnership with caring adults.  Founded in New York City, ASP is now in six cities – NYC, Newark, NJ; Bridgeport, CT; Chicago, Dallas and the San Francisco Bay Area – and connects with 40,000 youth, families and adults annually.  ASP offers a wide range of programs that include hip hop talent shows, training in theater and the arts and programs where we partner with the business community to help young people create a professional performance.

ASP is headquartered in a 31,000 square-foot performing arts and development complex on West 42nd Street and recently opened a second, 9,000 square-foot complex in Newark, NJ.  ASP is 100% privately funded, primarily through individual donations, and has an annual budget of $9 million.  Led for the past 26 years by President and CEO, Gabrielle L. Kurlander, ASP has 75 full and part-time employees, and more than 900 people volunteer each year.

Beckelman+Capalino is advising ASP on their upcoming capital campaign which is focused on expanding ASP’s programs to more cities over the next ten years.  Working with ASP leadership, B+C is organizing the campaign structure, building the campaign committee, developing fundraising strategies, and preparing campaign materials including case statements, talking points, presentations and brochures.
