Children’s Museum of the Arts

Founded in 1988, the Children's Museum of the Arts ("CMA") is one of the oldest children's arts museums in the world. It is currently located at 182 Lafayette Street in New York City's Soho neighborhood where it pursues its mission of celebrating the visual and performing artist in every child through teaching, creating, collecting, and exhibiting children's art.

To enhance and expand on this mission, CMA will be relocating to a new facility in lower Manhattan. To help it achieve this ambitious project CMA designated Beckelman+Capalino ("B+C") as Project Manager. B+C oversaw the full scope of the project up until construction management. B+C worked closely with CMA to establish the long and short term goals of the project, as well as a detailed plan for a significant expansion of the museum's operations.
