Case Study: Theatre For a New Audience
Theatre For a New Audience (“TFANA”) is preparing to relocate to a new facility in the Brooklyn Academy of Music Cultural District in Brooklyn, NY. This space will serve as TFANA’s new home and allow it to significantly expand its operations and programs. TFANA has retained Beckelman+Capalino (“B+C”) to work as a team with Creative Arts Consulting LLC (“CAC”), the TFANA Board and staff leadership on a comprehensive approach to improving the Board’s capacity to support the Theater as it moves to this new facility.
B+C, together with CAC, are filling a critical role for TFANA, working with the Artistic Director, executive and development staff, current Board members, the Chairman, and committee chairs, to ensure that Board recruitment and governance work is clearly defined, that roles and responsibilities are clear, that governance and committee work are completed in a timely and efficient manner, and that governance activities are focused on achieving specific results. B+C, together with CAC, is working to ensure that there is commonality of vision and focus among all constituents, and that goals and activities are strategically implemented in order to sustain the Theatre’s success in its new facility.
