Mark possesses nearly thirty years of domestic and international real estate and management consulting experience, and focuses on land use and development related issues. He began his career with the City of New York’s Department of General Services, where he was responsible for internal management consulting projects, and the Public Development Corporation, managing commercial and mixed-use projects in Manhattan. Mark has worked at several of the country’s leading commercial real estate brokerages in the areas of business development, national representation and corporate advisory services. Mark founded one of the first private real estate firms in the former USSR. Despite significant financial and political constraints, he developed commercial and residential projects, including the restoration of an historic property dating to the Middle Ages.
Mark received his Master of City and Regional Planning from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs/Urban Planning from the University of Southern California. Mark is Chairman of Manhattan Community Board 6. He is an active member of the Stuyvesant Cove Park Association and the Stuyvesant Park Neighborhood Association.
