Founded in 1900 by Spencer and Katrina Trask, Yaddo is an artists' community located on a 400-acre estate in Saratoga Springs, New York. Its mission is to nurture the creative process by providing an opportunity for artists to work without interruption in a supportive environment. Having completed a Facilities Master Plan prepared by Ennead Architects, Yaddo is implementing a two-phase master plan to restore its site and build new facilities, so that it can better support contemporary artists.  A historic mansion, gardens, and over 20 structures, most of which were built in the 19th and early 20th centuries, are situated on the estate, which was recently designated a National Historical Landmark.

Beckelman+Capalino is working with the Yaddo leadership to prepare the organization as it embarks on this capital project.  Our responsibilities relate to governance, Board development, and collaborating with the Development Department to prepare for the launch of Yaddo’s active capital campaign.
